There is much going on in our church during the month of February, 2010. First, on the 6th of this month, Trinity is honored to be host to the annual Equipping the Saints meeting for the Victoria Conference. Our organization has been requested to handle the food to be served for all members and visitors to this meeting. As of the date of this report, we have barely begun to plan and delegate authority to various WELCA Units in the conference, and our own circle members, so you will be informed in plenty of time, the type of help needed, what to do, when to do it, and who will be charge of the various jobs. Everyone's job will be very important. This is our opportunity to show the church members in our conference what real hospitality is! Be on the alert for upcoming information and dust off your sugar-free recipes.

Our thanks go out to past President, Jo Ann Yeary who has served our WELCA Unit as President, with dedication, distinction, and amazing organizational skills. Her shoe size is enormous and will be very difficult to fill. Betty and I are very grateful for the officers who have served in the past and are so willing to serve again. Their experience is invaluable and their willingness to share their expertise is very gratifying. To our members, we ask your prayers, your patience and understanding, and your forgiveness for our blunders as I know that we will make some. Hopefully, they will not be too many!

July is here and we are on the downhill slide toward Fall. The hottest weather is still ahead of us, so you are urged to be very careful of overheating. Heat stroke is nothing to take lightly. Especially for young children and older adults, it can be devastating. By all means, stay cool!

Our Ruth Circle meeting for June was cancelled due to so many members who are recovering from illness/or surgery who could not attend. Your prayers are requested for all these ladies.

Conventions are coming up! The Eighth Triennial Gathering will be held in Spokane, Washington on July 14-17, 2011. That is a full year away, but it is not too soon to be thinking about attending. If you are unable to attend, please pray for the success of this important meeting. More information will be coming to us.

Our SW Texas Synodical Convention will be held in New Braunfels October 1-3, 2010 and registration deadline is September 10th. This too, is a very important meeting and you are urged to attend if at all possible. Forms for registration are available in the church office in our WELCA mailbox. The convention will be held in the New Braunfels Civic/Convention Center; 375 South Castell Ave.

Our kitchen cleanup was held June 24 and everyone worked very hard. It is so nice to have a clean kitchen, please be conscientious about keeping it that way!
